VLADIMIR Putin has appeared “bloated” and “weak” in recent public appearances, according to body language experts, and his behavior suggests he may be suffering from a serious physical disease.

Video from Russia’s recent invasion of Ukraine in 2014 appears to show how Putin has devolved into a shell of his former self.

Putin’s increasingly unpredictable behavior in the battle may reflect a man on the edge of a physical or mental breakdown.

Whether it’s riding a horse topless or riding a Harley-Davidson in full leather with an infamous biker gang, the 69-year-old has long prided himself on his “strong guy” image.

Putin’s dramatically changing appearance in recent years has sparked speculation that he has had Botox or is hooked to steroids.

Putin’s face, however, is not the only component of the Russian president’s appearance that has changed in recent years, according to acknowledged body language experts.

Following Russia’s last invasion of Ukraine in 2014, Putin was caught on camera requesting his Federal Council to sanction the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol, which had previously been part of Ukraine.

He has a more energetic appearance, a slimmer face, a calmer voice, and a more relaxed body language.

However, film of Putin’s most recent public appearances, taken just eight years later, appears to show a drastically different man.

“The contrast with the Vladimir Putin of five or ten years ago – when he was much more dynamic and erect – is remarkable,” said body language expert Erik Bucy of Texas Tech University.

“We will soon see Putin suffer a nervous or physical breakdown as his body takes a hammering from the stress arising from the discordance between his subjective reality and what will shortly confront him in the real world,” says Joseph Tecce, an associate professor of psychology at Boston College.
