Over the weekend, a 35-year-old Florida woman was arrested on suspicion of running a washing dryer with a child inside and then turning it on. Amerika Chapman has been charged with child abuse after the 4-year-injuries old’s led to him being sent to the hospital, according to the New York Post.

Ms. Chapman has been charged with child abuse following the February incident. He told doctors he was thrown in the machine with some towels and “went around and around,” according to a report in the Post.

The 35-year-old woman was in charge of the boy’s care. As reported by the authorities, he was found with injuries to his head as well as his back and abdomen.

He informed the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in a taped interview that Ms Chapman had put him in the dryer with towels and turned on the machine, which he confirmed. According to WFTV, an ABC affiliate, the 35-year-old even opened the door in the middle of the tumble and then closed it again to resume the tumbling.

It was mentioned in the medical report that the Child Protection Team was unable to determine if the dryer was the source of the injuries.

However, it also stated that the boy’s account of the severity of his injuries was corroborated by medical professionals and law enforcement officers.

On Saturday, Amber Champan was taken into custody by police, but she was later freed on $15,000 bail. The horrific abuse was not linked to any particular reason, according to police enforcement.
