The wife of a Russian businessman alleges Putin’s former son-in-law took her child

A Russian socialite in London claims her estranged millionaire husband, Putin’s ex-son-in-law, has taken her newborn daughter and is concealing her in Moscow.
Zhanna Volkova, 44, is the wife of “Russia’s youngest millionaire” Kirill Shamalov, 40, who was previously married to Vladimir Putin’s youngest daughter Katerina Tikhonova.

Despite the fact that Shamalov divorced Tikhonova in 2013, it is thought that the millionaire is still close to Russia’s dictator.

Volkova and Shamalov began trying for a child shortly after their wedding in 2018. After numerous rounds of unsuccessful IVF, the couple sought out a Russian-based surrogate, and their daughter was delivered via surrogacy in October, according to Mail Online.

Volkova, on the other hand, told the publication that when her romance ended during the late stages of her pregnancy, she moved to London.

The socialite alleges that this is when she decided to end the pregnancy and was informed by the Moscow-based surrogacy firm that they no longer had touch with the surrogate bearing her kid.

“I was stranded in London with Covid,” she explained to the Mail Online. “I travelled to Moscow as quickly as I could.”

The Mirror reports that after Volkova arrived at the large home on the outskirts of the Russian capital which she once shared with her husband, Volkova claimed it took Shamalov three days to meet her there.
