Indian police officer arrested for ‘raping’ gang-rape victim
LUCKNOW: Indian police have detained an officer suspected of rapping a 13-year-old...
According to The Hindustan Times, an 81-year-old man in India was arrested on Sunday for alleged “digital rape” of a juvenile.
The accused was living with the girl as a guardian, according to the authorities.
He is an artist with an office in Himachal Pradesh, according to reports, and one of his coworkers had brought his daughter to live with him so she could finish her education.
The culprit was taking advantage of the young lady.
“At first, the girl was terrified… but over the last month, she began recording the suspect’s sexual approaches, largely as audio files.” She gathered a lot of evidence and told a woman who lived with the accused about her position, who subsequently made a complaint,” said Ranvijay Singh, the additional deputy commissioner of police.
“Digital rape” is defined as “forced sex or penetration with a lady or girl using fingers or toes,” according to India Today.
After the gang-rape event in Nirbhaya in 2013, digital rape is considered rape in India. It resulted in changes to India’s sex laws.
