The first of two buses transporting citizens from the besieged Azovstal steel complex has arrived in the adjacent town of Bezimenne, which is controlled by Moscow.
With diminishing supplies, residents have been hiding in a large network of subterranean tunnels beneath Mariupol’s mammoth steel factory for more than two months.
The first bus has arrived in Bezimenne, which is currently somewhat safe.
