Liverpool man arrested for possession of a sports bag full of cannabis

Police in Liverpool seized a zombie knife and a narcotics bag after a guy led authorities on a foot chase through his neighbors’ gardens.

Merseyside Police officers apprehended a wanted man on Wednesday, April 27 after he attempted to exit a property with a bag full of cannabis. Police arrived at the property in Halewood at 10 a.m. to arrest the man, but he attempted to flee through a back door while carrying a huge sports bag.

Following a short foot pursuit, police apprehended the man in a neighbor’s garden and discovered the bag contained a considerable amount of cannabis. Officers searched the house and recovered 1.5kg of cannabis, 22 cannabis seedlings, drug paraphernalia linked with drug supply, and a huge zombie knife.

A 33-year-old Halewood man was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with the intent to supply it. He was detained for questioning and has subsequently been released under investigation as the probe continues.

“We seized a considerable quantity of illegal narcotics during this event, as well as a knife plainly capable of causing terror, serious harm, or worse,” stated Inspector Paul Makin. We know that drug dealers employ threats, violence, and intimidation to preserve their illegal enterprise, and they are unconcerned about the impact this has on the communities in which they operate.

“Our officers are determined to keep communities safe and will take all necessary steps to make sure suspects are put before the courts.
