Two men have been accused of allegedly stealing £125,000 in chewing gum from a lorry. On Wednesday morning, the robbery occurred at Gloucester Services on the M5, between junctions 12 and 11a.

Ellis Benecke, 19, of Aysgarth Road, Leeds, has been charged with car theft and cannabis possession.

Keon Sanderson, 18, of Fieldhead Parade, Birstall, Batley, is charged with the same offenses.

Mr. Sanderson has also been charged with driving while intoxicated and failing to give a breath test or specimen for examination.

The couple has been remanded in jail and will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court later today.

Two guys were observed stealing things from an HGV and placing them into a lorry before speeding away, according to police.

After failing to halt for officials on the M5, the lorry was deserted on the A40 Golden Valley bypass, prompting a police dog pursuit.
