Russia bans Morgan Freeman, along with other Congress’ members

Morgan Freeman, an actor, is one of roughly 1,000 Americans facing Russian penalties, which include a travel ban.

The Russian foreign ministry released the entire list of names on Saturday, which includes President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

According to Russia’s foreign ministry, “the famous actor taped a video message in 2017 accusing Russia of scheming against the United States and called for a struggle against our country.”

It alludes to Mr. Freeman’s presence in a video accusing Russia of interference in the 2016 US presidential election, which Donald Trump won.

The list of sanctioned individuals includes 963 US residents, including politicians, doctors, activists, and journalists. Mark Zuckerberg.

The CEO of Meta, is also on the list.
