Texas: A mother shoots a man after he breaks into the house with her children inside

A Texas mother fatally shot a man who broke into her San Antonio house while her children were inside, according to police.

The mother, who has not been identified but is said to be in her 30s, was at home with her three children when she heard the intruder break in.

The individual, who has not been identified, entered the residence through the laundry area in the back.

The woman took out a gun and shot him in the chest twice.

When police arrived, they discovered the man seated in a chair in the garden.

On the way to the hospital, he died from his wounds.

The shooting is still under investigation, but no charges have been filed.

The mom and her children were not injured in the event.
