According to video captured at the festival, a topless protester with blue and yellow colors painted on her chest and stomach ran onto the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday.

She protested against sexual assault in Ukraine.

The unidentified woman can be seen emerging from behind photographers and rapidly removing her gown before rushing onto the carpet and shouting at the cameras.

The activist was painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, as well as the phrases “stop rapping us” on her chest and abdomen.

She was also dressed in white underpants with blood-colored paint on it.

Russian soldiers invaded Ukraine on February 24.

Ukrainian officials have reported several cases of sexual abuse of women, children, and men by Russian forces, who they claim are employing rape and other sexual assaults as weapons of war.

Before removing the woman from the event in Cannes, security personnel swiftly surrounded her, and wrapped her with a jacket.

One of the members of the French feminist organization SCUM, which describes itself as “radical feminist activists and universalist blasphemers,” travelled to the festival to “denounce the sexual torment suffered by Ukrainian women in the conflict,” according to an Instagram post.
