Two men identified as “a prominent Vietnamese actor and singer” are accused of raping a British teenager on the tourist island of Majorca.

The 17-year-old reported to police that she was attacked at a hotel in Andratx, in the southwest of the island, after she started interacting with the artists she had met in a nearby restaurant.

According to reports, the girl’s aunt was contacted by a relative and informed authorities of the incident.

According to the local newspaper Ultima Hora, the minor informed police that the two males, aged 37 and 42, forced her to take a shower after the alleged rape in order to get rid of any potential evidence linking them to the crime.

It has described them as an “actor and musician with a long professional career in the south east Asian country.”

They appeared before an investigating magistrate in a closed court hearing after being detained at the nameless hotel early on Saturday morning. They have since been released on bond but are prohibited from leaving Spain while a criminal investigation is ongoing.

The British youngster ratified her police statement in front of the same court, and it is believed that she then fled the island with her family.

According to Ultima Hora, the guys and the girl were sleeping in different hotels in the municipality of Andratx when they struck up a discussion at a nearby restaurant and after spending time on the beach with them, she agreed to go to the site where the Vietnamese couple were staying.

Before giving her police statement, she underwent a checkup at Son Espases Hospital in Palma, the city of Majorca.

Police said that they had been summoned to handle an alleged rape at an Andratx hotel.

Two Vietnamese nationals were detained in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to a reliable source, and the investigation is still ongoing.

Officials from the court could not be reached for comment right away.

It was unclear if the couple had come to the island for business or if they were on vacation in Majorca.

They have been ordered to turn in their passports and are forbidden from leaving Spain.
