Former President Donald Trump insisted on traveling to the Capitol on January 6. Despite advice from his top attorneys at a Secret Service agent who told him he couldn’t, a former White House assistant claimed.

During a Jan. 6 Committee hearing on Tuesday. Mark Meadows Cassidy Hutchinson, a former senior adviser to the Trump White House chief of staff, made the remarks.

She claimed that White House Counsel Pat Cipollone frequently-issued warnings that Trump’s visit to the Capitol might put numerous White House employees in peril.

She continued, “From what I understand. Mr. Cipollone believed that Mr. Meadows however advancing this with the president.

According to Hutchinson, Trump left his rally speech believing he would be brought to the Capitol.

Trump allegedly lunged at the on-duty Secret Service agent after attempting to grasp at the steering wheel of the beast.
