Approximately UAH 2.3 million has been raised through the global fundraising platform as part of the international charity telethon, Embrace Ukraine #StrivingTogether.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Information Policy posted the pertinent message on Telegram.

Prior to the European Council meeting in Brussels in June, the Embrace Ukraine #StrivingTogether charity telethon was held.

The ministry stated that “for the third time, the event has united people from all continents around solidarity for Ukraine.”

Many musicians, politicians, and thought leaders spoke to the global audience during the telethon to show their support and willingness to award Ukraine EU candidate status.

Money was raised to aid individuals who had been hurt as a result of the armed aggression by Russia against Ukraine.

The ministry continued, “In total, approximately UAH 2,300,000 has been raised this time via the United24 worldwide fundraising platform.

The donor who made the single highest donation was given a special award in the form of a Ukrainian flag that Volodymyr Zelensky had personally signed.
