
Ukrainian military: Russian forces using missiles against defenses in Donbas

The Ukrainian military said Russian forces launched missiles and air attacks on multiple locations against Ukraine’s defenses. It includes the Donetsk and Luhansk areas, amid fierce combat on several fronts.
Russian military fired four Tochka missiles in the districts of Bakhmut, Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, and Lysychansk.

Artillery was deployed against many communities north of Sloviansk. It was a significant target for Russian forces, according to Shtupun. Heavy battle appears to have erupted in Sviatohirsk, which is 20 kilometers north of Sloviansk. Earlier on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that a wooden chapel was desecrated once more after the Soviet era.
“Fighting continues to establish full control over the city of Severodonetsk,” Shtupun added.
Ukrainian officials claim that their forces have reclaimed some territory in the city. According to Shtupun, Russian combat helicopters and planes attacked surrounding towns and villages, including Hirske and Ustynivka.

According to Shtupun, Russian Su-25 aircraft were active in the region. Moreover, air strikes were launched against numerous different sectors of the front line.
The overall picture shows Russian efforts to destroy Ukrainian fortifications with missiles, rockets, and aerial bombardment. But, only minor incremental gains on the ground for Russian forces north of Sloviansk. It involves a stalemate in Severodonetsk amid street combat.
