Prime Ministers of Montenegro Dritan Abazovi and the Republic of Albania Edi Rama met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in Kyiv to discuss post-war reconstruction and Ukraine’s integration into the European Union.

According to a source, the Government portal made the pertinent comment.

“We applaud the decision to grant our nation the status of a candidate for membership in the EU. Today, the majority of Ukrainians favour joining the EU. This is crucial moral support for us in our struggle against Russian aggression on a large scale. The ambitions and goals of the Ukrainian people, who valiantly resist the Russian invaders, must be justified, according to Shmyhal.

Shmyhal expressed his gratitude to Albania and Montenegro for their unwavering support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty as well as for helping the Ukrainian people fight for democracy in the conflict that Russia had started.

Shmyhal asserts that for Ukraine, the European perspective is just as crucial as arms, financial backing, and sanctions against the aggressor. Shmyhal continued, “We are defending not only our nation but also the democratic frontiers of Europe.

The Montenegrin prime minister stated that being with Ukrainians at this moment and expressing gratitude for all they are doing to safeguard not only Ukraine but also the entirety of Europe is a political and moral responsibility. Abazovi emphasised that Montenegro will stand by Ukraine.
