Since March, Canadian Armed Forces aircraft have flown more than 1,360 tonnes of military aid to Ukraine. Anita Anand, Canada’s minister of defence, allegedly posted this on Twitter.
She stated, “We continue to fly this vital cargo supplied by Canada, our partners, and Allies. Since March 2022, our Royal Canadian Air Force detachment in Europe has delivered 3 million pounds [more than 1,360 tonnes] of relief in support of Ukraine.
“Canada’s military support for Ukraine is robust and unwavering,” she continued.
The Canadian budget for this year includes more than $400 million for Ukraine’s acquisition of cutting-edge armaments. In addition, Canada has sent Ukraine tens of thousands of weapons from its own stockpiles since the start of the Russian incursion, including seven long-range howitzers and their associated high-precision ammunition.
