Philippine President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. is headed to the UAE, and expats are in for an exclusive meeting.
The Philippine missions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi revealed that the community event is scheduled for November 29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, running from 5pm to 8pm.
Ensure your presence by registering online, as mandated by the authorities, according to Tuesday’s announcement.
Participation in the event is exclusively open to Filipinos aged 18 and above. The gates are set to open at 3pm and will be closed promptly at 4:30pm, as highlighted by both the embassy and the consulate-general. Attendees are required to adhere to a smart casual or Filipiniana dress code.
“For security reasons, large bags, selfie sticks, umbrellas and other items such as posters, banners, placards, and streamers will not be allowed inside the venue,” according to the advisory.
In addition to the community event, Marcos is anticipated to participate in COP28 at Expo City Dubai, a global gathering of leaders addressing critical environmental issues. The conference is scheduled to run from November 30 to December 12.
