One of the incidents took place at the Pheasant Run Apartments in unincorporated Joliet Township, where officers responded to a report of a man, identified as 28-year-old Toyosi Bakare from Nigeria, bleeding from the head with an apparent gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, Bakare was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.
