Saudi Arabia has issued a stern warning to individuals planning to undertake the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage without obtaining the required permits.
Authorities have announced severe penalties for those found violating Hajj regulations.
As per the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, individuals performing Hajj without the necessary permits will be subject to fines of up to 50,000 Saudi riyals.
Additionally, it is now mandatory to obtain a permit for transporting pilgrims, with similar fines imposed for non-compliance.
Furthermore, offenders will face a six-month jail term, followed by deportation from Saudi Arabia. They will also be barred from re-entering the country for a period of 10 years.
The authorities have warned that individuals breaching these regulations will face public denouncement through media channels.
