ANP leader Samar Bilour decides to join PML-N

PESHAWAR: Samar Bilour, a prominent figure of the Awami National Party (ANP) and member of the renowned Bilour family, has decided to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Samar, who previously served as ANP’s Provincial Information Secretary and was a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, is now set to align herself with the PML-N.

According to sources, Samar Bilour met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the decision. Federal Minister Amir Muqam was also present during the meeting. During the meeting with the Prime Minister, Samar Bilour announced his participation in the PML -N.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Samar Bilour’s inclusion in the PML-N would strengthen the party in the province.

Samar Bilour is the widow of ANP martyr Haroon Bashir Bilour, who won the by -elections in 2018 and became a member of the Provincial Assembly for the first time.

Samar Bilour was an active member of the Assembly from October 24, 2018 to January 18, 2023 (about 4 years and 3 months), in June 2020 he was appointed as the provincial secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ANP.

She became the first female MPA of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to be elected from the public seat, the honor was received for the first time in Peshawar for the first time in Peshawar.
