ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court(IHC) allowed former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry to go abroad.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard the request of Fawad Chaudhry for permission to go abroad.

The court ordered the former minister's name to be temporarily removed from the passport control list for two weeks and said that Fawad Chaudhry can go abroad from August 10 to 24.

On the other hand, speaking to the media outside the court, Fawad Chaudhry said that it has been more than a year and still are running for bails. He said “ If you get out in one case, you are arrested in the next, our prosecution branch has been completely destroyed”.

He said that the state structure stands on the institutions which are being destroyed. He said there is a need to reduce bitterness and resume talk.

Earlier,  Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday ordered the authorities concerned to remove the names of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, his son Rasikh Elahi, and daughter-in-law Zahra Elahi from the passport control list (PCL).

Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza passed the orders while allowing petitions filed by Parvez Elahi and family members challenging the inclusion of their names in the PCL.
