Students, activists and supporters across Pakistan have gathered across Pakistan for Student Solidarity March.
According to details, the march led by the Student Action Committee (SAC), they present a charter of demands including the reinstatement of the student unions.
The protesters are demanding the education budget be increased to 10% and the restoration of student unions.
They are also demanding action against the corporation of colleges and Universities in Pakistan.
They want students to be part of administration, including framing course structures and scholarships.
They are also demanding democratic system and demand elections on campus for the unions.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry came on support on student march and tweeted “I fully support Restoration of students unions, ban on students unions is anti-democratic.”
He further stated “we can always ensure that students’ politics must remain violence free and regulations may be introduced for smooth functioning but ban on students’ politics amounts to limit future politics.”

Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also tweeted in support of Student solidarity march.
