Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Khwaja Saad Rafique said on Wednesday that his party was not consulted in regard of  18th constitutional amendment.

Addressing media, Khwaja Saad Rafique said proposed amendments to the accountability watchdog  National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance has nothing to do with the 18th amendment. He said PMLN will act after amendment will be discussed in the house. Amendment of the Constitution is not a matter of 1 day.

The change in NAB rules is not a PML-N issue, said Rafique, NAB is a black law; NAB law and economy cannot go together, NAB laws and state affairs cannot go together.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said The NAB rules have affected political opponents as well as civil servants and the business community. The business community is in jails under NAB rules and they should be brought to justice. Meanwhile, an accountability court resumed the hearing of the Paragon Housing Society case.

The judge directed Qaiser Amin Butt, an approver in the case, to turn up before the court on the next hearing, warning that if he doesn’t show up, warrants for his arrest will be issued. The court adjourned the hearing till June 2.
