PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik says that Eids will continue to come but serving the family is the first priority, we want to do our part in this difficult time.

Regarding the victims of the plane crash, Arshad Malik said that the dead bodies of 14 martyrs have been handed over to their families while the DNA team has started their work.

In an exclusive interview at the Emergency Response Center, Arshad Malik said that a PIA team would be present at all times to help the survivors and would make PIA a source of pride.

He said that the family members can contact the PIA call center at any time to know the latest situation.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed grief over the incident of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft crash.

The prime minister said, “Shocked & saddened by the PIA crash. Am in touch with PIA CEO Arshad Malik, who has left for Karachi & with the rescue & relief teams on ground as this is the priority right now. Immediate inquiry will be instituted. Prayers & condolences go to families of the deceased.”

The other 31 bodies were brought to Civil Hospital, Karachi including six females and 25 males. Twenty-eight have yet to be identified and three have been identified. Namely:

1. Lt Balaj whose body has been shifted to CMH Malir
2. Maj Shehriyar whose body has been shifted to CMH Malir
3. Syed Danish Shah, son of Syed Ahad Shah
