K-pop is taking over the music industry with their record-breaking songs one after another. One of the K-pop groups BLACKPINK new song ‘How You Like That’ has made the record to reach 100 million views on YouTube after 32 hours of its release.

With their versatility and bawse lady attitude, the latest song is full of energy and members, Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé burn the dance floor with it. Yet the girl pop band has landed in controversy after Indian viewers pointed to cultural misappropriation in their music video.

Some Indian users pointed out that one of their gods Ganesh statue installed in a video-set Arabic market. The statue’s split-second appearance comes as Lisa sings her words, sitting on a piece of furniture set in the scene. The Indian viewers found it offensive for using the statue of their god as a prop.

Using Ganesh’s status as a prop brought the K-pop band under hot waters. Many slammed the all-girls K-pop group on social media and demanded an apology.
