Karachi remains in darkness again as it faces unannounced load shedding of electricity. Electricity supply has remained suspended for hours in courts as well.

Court functions and other matters have been badly affected due to the interrupted electricity supply.

The condition of the prisoners appearing in the city court is bad due to extreme heat and power outage

Governor Sindh Imran Ismail  had expressed anger over the unannounced load shedding in Karachi.

According to details, Chief Executive of K-Electric Monis Abdullah called on Sindh Governor Imran Ismail.

According to Governor Sindh’s spokesperson, Imran Ismail had said that the unannounced load shedding in this intense summer season is an injustice to the citizens of Karachi.

He had further said that K-electric was being provided with additional gas by the federal government. However, intense load shedding is a cause of concern.

He also had said that HUBCO will provide provided additional furnace oil to K-electric. Ismail added that the federal government was responsible to provide 650 MW power to K-Electric. But it is ready to give an additional 500 MW to facilitate the citizens.

On the other hand, the Chief Executive of K-Electric had told the governor that two power plants were shut down due to shortage of furnace oil. Additional supply of furnace oil from the federation would be helpful in controlling the problem.

CEO K-Electric had also made sure that the city’s electricity situation will be improved within 24 hours.
