The government has presented the budget for the fiscal year 2020-21 today (Jun 12) and assigned Rs1.324 trillion for the Public Sector Development Programme.

Following are the pointers of distributions under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for various divisions and ministries for the FY 2020-2021:

  • The total expenses of the PSDP for this fiscal year is Rs1.324 trillion, Rs650 billion for federal PSDP and the share of provincial PSDP is Rs674 billion.
  • Finance Division will get Rs66,666 million

  • Rs10 million has been provided for Foreign Affairs Division.
  • Rs29,470 million has been reserved for The Higher Education Commission (HEC) .
  • Aviation Division will get Rs1320 million.
  • Board of Investment will get Rs80 million has reserved for Board of Investment.
  • Cabinet Division will get Rs47,802.
  • Housing and Working Division will get Rs8,736 million.

  • Rs256 million will be provided to Human Rights Division.
  • Industries and Production Division will take Rs8,736 million.
  • Rs5,000 million has reserved for the Climate Change Division.
  • Rs103 million have been set aside for Commerce Division.
  • Communication Division will get Rs 254 million.
  • Defence Division will get Rs660 million.

  • Establishment Division will get Rs282 million.
  • The Federal Education and Professional Training Division will get Rs4,526 million.
  • Information and Broadcasting Division will take Rs360 million.
  • Rs6,672 million will be provided to Information Technology and Telecom Division.
  • R 929 million have been allocated for Inter-Provincial Coordination Division.

  • Rs52,424 million have been earmarked for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Division.
  • Rs1,786 million have been earmarked for Petroleum Division.
  • Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Division will receive Rs3,545 million.
  • Rs135 million have been allocated for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division.
  • Railway Division will take Rs24,000 million.

  • Revenue Division will collect Rs1,697 million.
  • Rs4,458 million have been earmarked for Science and Technology Research Division.
  • Rs991 million have been earmarked for Law and Justice.
  • Maritime Affairs Division will give Rs2,683 million.
  • Narcotics Control Division will get Rs53 million

  • Rs12,000 million have been given to National Food Security and Research Division.
  • Rs14,508 million have been allocated for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Division.
  • Rs194 million have been provided for the National Culture and Heritage Division.
  • Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission will take Rs23,297.
  • Rs350 million have been set aside for Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
  • Rs4,975 million have been earmarked fr SUPARCO.

  • Water Resource Division will get Rs81,250 million.
  • Rs118,674 million have been set aside for National Highway Authority (NHA).
  • NTDC/PEPCO will receive Rs39,649 million.
  • ERRA will take Rs3,000 million.
  • Rs70,000 million have been allocated for the COVID Responsive and Other Natural Calamities Programme.
