COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that with the help of his brave nation, every attempt of terrorists will be thwarted.

Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar, Director General, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army, said in a message on social networking site Twitter that Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa paid rich tributes to the security guards of the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

On the occasion, the Army Chief said that the operational readiness of the law enforcement agencies was commendable and timely action of the guards thwarted a major terrorist attempt.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa further said that it was possible as a result of great sacrifices of long lasting martyrs in the country while Rangers and Sindh Police took timely action to eliminate the terrorists in a short time.

DG ISPR wrote on his official tweet, “#COAS paid glowing tributes to security guards of #PSX, who sacrificed their lives as first responders vigilantly checking terrorist’s entry to PSX foiling a major terrorist incident.”

“Appreciating LEAs for their operational readiness, COAS lauded prompt, effective and integrated response of Pak Rangers & Sindh Police, eliminating terrorists in shortest possible time,”  he added.

DG ISPR also wrote “With support of our resilient nation, we will foil all efforts of enemies aimed at destabilizing hard earned peace achieved through sacrifices of our martyrs.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan has condemned terrorist attack at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) building that killed ten people, including four attackers and five security officials.

The Prime Minister in a statement said brave security personnel courageously fought the enemy off and foiled this attack.
