Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said that he is not satisfied with the coronavirus testing in Sindh and it seems that we are announcing our victory ahead of time.
Talking to media in Karachi, the Sindh Chief Minister said that 48 more people have died of coronavirus in Sindh in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of people infected with COVID-19 in the province to 1795.
He said that 574,767 coronavirus tests have been conducted in Sindh so far. At present, 42,780 patients are undergoing treatment out of which 41,179 are at home while 400 patients are in isolation centres and 1,201 hospitals. 112 patients are on ventilators.
Murad Ali Shah said that the pandemic would spread but we can stop it and it is not under complete control yet, we tried to control the pandemic to some extent but it is difficult to fully control until the vaccine arrives.
He said that coronavirus testing in Sindh is double that of other provinces but I am not satisfied with the testing that is going on in Sindh now and, we are announcing our victory ahead of time.
The Chief Minister Sindh said that the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has not met for a long time, we have 11268 beds, we have done our best but are not satisfied yet, people will get tested and If we are under pressure, we will increase our capacity.
Referring to the locust issue, Murad Ali Shah said that an institution called National Locust Control Service has been set up by the Prime Minister. The locust problem started last year and I myself had visited the locust infested places.
