COAS Bajwa confers military awards to army personnel

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa confers military awards to Army personnel for acts of gallantry during various operations.

40 officers were awarded SITARA-I-IMTIAZ (Military), 24 officers/soldiers were awarded TAMGHA-E-BISALAT and a soldier was awarded UNITED NATIONS (UN), Medal. Medals of Shuhada were received by their family members.

While addressing the ceremony, COAS Bajwa said that September 6 is an eternal day of Pakistan’s history. We have always defeated the enemy and wea re ready to do so in future wars as well.

Pakistan will never forget the sacrifices of our beloved martyrs and their families said Army Chief, adding that I therefore, pay salute to the bereaved families.

Today’s is also celebrated to commorate the martyrs against Kargil and terrorism, Bajwa said. He further added that all our brave martyrs are the heroes of Pakistan.

Army Chief further added that India has still extreme aggressions towards Pakistan and it has adopted an irresponsible attitude.

Peace in the region is once again targeted after India’s continuous illegal moves, COAS said. However, there is no doubt that Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized issue.
