OGRA had recommended an increase of Rs 9.71 in the price of petrol and Rs 9.50 in the price of high-speed diesel.

It may be recalled that in August, the government had increased the price of petrol by Rs 3.86 per litre, after which the new price of petrol was Rs 103.97 per litre.
