Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that there is immense potential for tourism in the region.
According to details, the twelfth session of the Gilgit-Baltistan Council was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which the Gilgit-Baltistan Council Rules 2021 were approved.
In the meeting, the council approved the issuance of a policy directive regarding the auction of next-generation mobile services spectrum, while the council approved the appointment of Minhas Hussain, District and Sessions Judge Ghizr as Judge, Banking and Customs Court, Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister briefed Imran Khan on the situation arising out of the recent rains and relief measures.
Presiding over the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that there is immense potential for tourism in the region, to utilize this potential, build modern infrastructure and provide training to the local population in the field of tourism.
Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that tourism should be promoted to provide better economic opportunities to the local population.
