Recently Islamabad is facing a shortage of water supply as the capital city is lacking with the rainfall water and its citizen are requested to pray for the rain.

Two major dams of the city (Simli and Khanpur) are having water at their lowest level and if they are unable to catch enough water this monsoon then the city will be at the risk of water shortage, as these both dams are the major source of the water supply of Islamabad.

The dam has the capacity to hold around 6500 million gallons of water but unfortunately due to lack of monsoon rainfall, the dam is currently having only 1000 million gallons of water which will last only for two months. citizens are afraid as half of the monsoon has passed but they didn’t face any monsoon and up till now the dam has received only seven to eight-foot of water.
