West Indies won the thrilling first test against Pakistan by one wicket at Sabina Park, Kingston.
Test team skipper Babar Azam said that due to the dropped catches in the last session national test team lost the match.
This test match marked the 15th one-wicket win for West Indies in the history of test cricket. On the other hand, Pakistan lost two test matches by one wicket, both against West Indies.
Taking to media, Babar said that it was a thrilling match, adding that they had to face the consequences of dropping catches during the final session of the Test.
He further added that dropping catches during crucial moments changes the situation entirely. While expressing his satisfaction, he said that his team gave its 100% performance.
“We got momentum on various occasions during the match but we couldn’t maintain it,” the captain said.
Babar said that he was satisfied with the bowling of Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Muhammad Abbas.
He hoped that they will perform even better in the next test match.
Pakistan won the T20I series by 1-0 against West Indies after only one match came to conclusion. The other three matches were abandoned due to rain.
