Pakistan Navy attends 8th multinational exercise in Turkey

Pakistan Navy participated in the 8th multi-national Special Operations Exercise NUSRET 2021 in Canakkale, Turkey.

Special Operation Forces from 12 countries participated in the exercise. The exercise aimed at developing synergy and interoperability among the participating teams of Special Operation Forces, read a statement issued by the Director-General Public Relations Navy (DGPR-Navy).

Teams from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Iraq, Libya, Oman, Republic of Korea, Romania and Tanzania participated in the exercise.

Representatives from NATO Mine Counter Measure (MCM) Group, NATO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation also participated in the exercise, which was designed to exchange professional expertise in Special Operation Forces (SOF) domain.

The multinational exercise focused on operations that included Under Water EOD Operations and Mines Counter Measures in the maritime domain.

“Professional experience gained during the multinational exercise will be rewarding in the conduct of joint operations against common threats and will augment cooperation among participating countries,” said the DGPR-Navy.
