Dr Yasmin Rashid asks critics for open debate on Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Monday said that 4.75 million people of Gujranwala division would now be able to utilise free health insurance facility under the Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card.

She was addressing launching ceremony of Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card at the Quaid-e-Azam Divisional Public School, Gujranwala.

The Health Minister said that Rs 400 billion have been allocated for the Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card Program. She said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan is the only leader after Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who can talk bravely and openly with global powers. Had it not been for the leadership of Imran Khan, we would not have been be present here staring such a revolutionary program.

Those conspiring against Imran will never succeed. Hamza Shahbaz has said that PTI is misleading people which is wrong. They built palaces by misleading people. One must ask Hamza Shahbaz was it possible in their government for a common man to get free eye surgery worth Rs. 120,000 in their government? If this card was a fraud, Hamza Shahbaz must ask his uncle why they replicated the model in Punjab?  The then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif saw the popularity of Sehat Sahulat card and started the program himself. We do not do politics on public welfare. Unlike you, we have always supported the truth and not sided with hypocrites. I challenge Hamza Shahbaz to have open debate with me about the utility of Naya Pakistan Sehat Sahulat Card. For their minor cough and flu, they travel to London or America for treatment. If former prime minister Nawaz Sharif came back to country, we will provide him free treatment. There is limit to how you befool people.”

She further said, “As per vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, we will continue efforts to make Pakistan as good as Riyasat-i-Madina. Inflation has been a global phenomenon ever since the pandemic hit the world.”
