The opulent London lifestyle of Putin’s foreign minister’s stepdaughter has been shattered by severe British sanctions.

Polina Kovaleva, 26, is barred from visiting her opulent £4.4 million Kensington home and is barred from making any purchases in the country.

Polina’s mother, Svetlana Polyakova, allegedly had a 20-year affair with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The penalties bar her from entering the country and freeze all of her assets, including the Kensington pad.

Protesters chanted “your father is a murderer” outside her flat last week.

According to the Foreign Office, targeting Polina “sends a strong signal that individuals who gain from the affiliation of those responsible for Russian aggression are subject to our sanctions.”

Polina attended a prestigious boarding school in Bristol before graduating with honours from Loughborough University with a first-class degree in economics and politics.

She was one of several Kremlin allies sanctioned as part of Liz Truss’ new sanctions blitz.

Eugene Markovich Shvidler, a millionaire with ties to Roman Abramovich, was also sanctioned.

Britain has also sanctioned the mercenary Wagner Group, which has been assisting Putin’s homicidal assault.

“These oligarchs, corporations, and hired thugs are culpable in the death of innocent citizens, and it is appropriate that they pay the price,” Ms Truss added.

“Putin should have no illusions – we are united with our friends and will continue to tighten the screws on Russia’s economy to ensure his failure in Ukraine. There will be no respite.”

Boris Johnson said this morning Britain would continue to tighten the vice on Russia to choke off funds for Putin’s war machine.

He is looking for methods to cut off Putin’s massive gold hoard as well as his cash reserves.
