Three miners died of suffocation due to gas filling in a coal mine in the surrounding area.

According to police, three miners, Abdullah, Naseebullah and Mirza Khan, died of suffocation after a sudden gas leak at a coal mine in Sarra Ghurgai area on the outskirts of Quetta on Monday.
Police took the bodies into custody and shifted them to the hospital where after necessary procedure the bodies were handed over to the next of kin.
Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has expressed sorrow over the coal mine accident at Sara Ghargai area on the outskirts of Quetta.
Chief Minister expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and directed the district administration to extend full support to the families of the deceased.

Chief Minister directed the Department of Minerals to review the safety measures of coal mines and said that the owners of coal mines should be required to ensure safety measures for the protection of miners.
