With President Zelenskyy warning against “any delay” in supplying extra weaponry and equipment, the United Kingdom will deliver armoured vehicles to Ukraine for the first time as part of a fresh £100 million military aid package.
In reaction to a missile strike near a train station that killed at least 50 people, Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for a “strong global response,” and the UK is expected to send more military help.
“A delay in sending weaponry to Ukraine, any refusals, can only imply the politicians in question want to support the Russian leadership more than us,” Putin stated in his nightly video message following the “war crime” outside the Kramatorsk train station.
According to a source, Ben Wallace, Ukraine’s military will get eight Mastiff armoured patrol vehicles, each weighing 23 tonnes and accommodating a crew of two.
The Ukrainian army may be able to undertake offensive operations near Russian lines with their support, as they are expected to be stripped of vital equipment.
During the Afghanistan conflict, the Mastiff was developed to withstand Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
In addition to the 200,000 goods previously supplied, the convoy will comprise Starstreak anti-aircraft missiles, 800 anti-tank missiles, helmets, and night vision goggles.
