A Texas officer faces a second allegation of juvenile sexual abuse

A Dallas police officer has been charged with sexual assault of a minor for the second time, this time in connection with a teenage sex trafficking victim whose mother arranged for her to remain at the officer’s house. Officer Tyrone Williams, 49, was brought into Dallas County Jail earlier this month on the second allegation of sexual abuse of a juvenile, according to the Dallas Police Department.

In June 2021, he handed himself in on the first charge of sexual abuse of a kid. Additional victims were discovered throughout the inquiry, and a second arrest warrant was obtained about a year later.

Williams and another cop rescued a 14-year-old girl from a Dalla hotel in 2010, where a suspect was also detained on human trafficking allegations.

According to the affidavit, the officer raped the girl on the first night she slept at his house, as well as numerous other times after that, including during his lunch break. According to court records, he used his position as a cop to persuade the victim to keep quiet, saying things like “I know how to make people go missing” and “If I have to, I know how to shut you up.”

Attorney Hunt Bonneau is representing the girl. Her two sisters claim they were also assaulted by the officer after their mother arranged for all three of them to stay at his house, according to WFAA. Williams is on administrative leave, according to the Dallas Morning News, as an internal investigation proceeds.

Williams’ first sexual assault accusation, according to WFAA, resulted from charges made by a girl who said she was apprehended as a runaway. Williams reportedly befriended the girl’s mother and persuaded her to let the then minor remain at his house.
