The United States Marshals Service is looking for fugitive Andrew Kristovich, who escaped from an Oregon jail and is sought on additional rape, assault, and strangling charges.

Kristovich, 38, was detained in 2018 in connection with cartel-related gun and drug allegations, along with 30 other defendants. According to federal records, he was sentenced last year to 60 months in prison, or five years, with credit for time served, as well as four years of supervised release. According to Oregon officials, the fugitive fled a Yamhill County correctional facility on April 25 before heading to an alleged ex-apartment girlfriend in Clark County, where she claims he attacked and raped her before leaving with her bank card, cellphone, and car.

“He’s completely transformed, and I have no idea who he is anymore. He’s a terrifying figure “In an interview, the ex-girlfriend, named as Shauna by FOX 13, told the outlet. Kristovich was able to contact Shauna via a smuggled cell phone before fleeing. Shauna stated that Kristovich persuaded her to pick him up at the Federal Correctional Institution in Sheridan, Oregon, after threatening her. When he leaped out of the bushes near the prison and entered Shauna’s car, her children were in the backseat, she added.

After they arrived, the fugitive assaulted Shauna in her house. According to the woman, the “only reason” she is alive is because neighbors heard the attack, and “he panicked” before exiting the residence, according to FOX 13. He also allegedly threatened Shauna with death if she did not hand up her vehicle keys. The fugitive is thought to be armed and dangerous. Kristovich describes him as a 5 ft. 8 in., 200-pound White guy with brown hair and hazel eyes.

The Federal Correctional Facility in Sheridan, Oregon, is defined on the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) website as a “medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum security satellite camp and a detention center.”
