
According to a report, a Maryland man accused of committing an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven convenience shop Tuesday morning learned the hard way when he lost his wallet and ID while fleeing the scene.
According to MoCo PG News, a Twitter feed tracking criminal occurrences in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, the incident occurred in the 900 block of Merrimac Drive in Takoma Park.
The guy is said to have entered the establishment brandishing a handgun and demanding money from the cash register. He allegedly departed in a Chevy Camaro with the money, but not before leaving something vital behind.
According to the account, the suspect lost his wallet, which held his ID, while exiting the business. It’s unclear whether anyone was arrested as a result of the event.
On Tuesday, an armed robbery was reported at a 7-Eleven in Takoma Park, Maryland. The Takoma Park Police Department was contacted, but no response was received right away.
Takoma Park is a neighborhood in the Washington, D.C. metro region.
