Martin Lewis in tears over heartbreaking Twitter message

Martin Lewis, a money saving expert, claimed that one man’s testimony about how the growing cost of living has affected him made him cry. After receiving the remark on Twitter, Martin Lewis stated he was moved to tears.

The man tagged both Mr Lewis and TV presenter Susanna Reid in a tweet. According to Mr. Lewis,

“My eyes rimmed with tears after reading this. This is both wretched and sweet in equal measure.”

The Twitter user had said: “The old fella who lives next door to me goes to our shopping centre and sits there until it closes, he takes a flask and sandwiches and sits in front of the local TV shop they even put his channel on for him and fill his flask.”

A user called Jane replied: “That is just sadness to hear – what about community places paid for by local authorities so that old folk who are able to look after themselves but can’t afford the comforts the wealthy can, can come together, meet up, watch tv and perhaps be fed a warm meal per day?”

User Sir Dave said: “It’s the Conservative government’s fault – we are the sith richest country in the world but have one of the lowest pensions in Europe, that starts at one of the highest age levels. It’s a political choice.”
