We all know that Pakistani films have failed miserably to get audiences to the movies this Eid UL Fitr. Instead of four to five local films, Pakistanis decided to watch Dr. Strange.

Following the decline in box office statistics for Pakistani cinema, local producers held a news conference in which they vehemently denounced the screening of foreign films in Pakistani theaters. The Sindh High Court recently took action in this respect. There is some good news for local filmmakers now.

According to sources, the Sindh High Court has ruled that overseas film screenings be limited. According to a Sindh High Court judgment, indigenous films would be given 85 percent of the screen time at Pakistani cinemas, while foreign content will be given 15 percent.

The announcement has enraged Pakistani moviegoers, who have stated that they will watch the 15 percent of screens instead of local films. The public believes that all they are emphasizing is the need for local filmmakers to enhance their substance rather than plotting against international films.

They said that this was the rashest choice they had ever made and that the audience had not anticipated it. According to the public, several extremely fantastic movies are expected on Eid UL Azha, and now local authorities are attempting to make space for some terrible Pakistani flicks. Fans claim that this would impoverish Pakistani theatres, resulting in their permanent closure and the inability to exhibit their cheap films anyplace.
