Thunder convey ideal normal season after twentieth Superleague win

Manchester Thunder got their twentieth success of the Vitality Netball Superleague season against Loughborough Lightning and go into the semi-finals unbeaten.

On a home court at Belle Vue, the outfit’s brand name constancy and strength inside and out empowered them to move past the line 71-63 against last year’s bosses.

Worldwide shooter Joyce Mvula got the player of the match grant, with Emilia Roscoe and Millie Sanders sharing the objective guard napkin without any Shadine van der Merwe.

Lightning’s lead trainer Victoria Burgess highlighted a couple of blunders in dynamic which at last stopped their possibilities finishing Thunder’s noteworthy normal season run.

“The group have been amazing,” Karen Greig, Thunder’s lead trainer, told. “I feel like I say exactly the same thing consistently, yet these players are a worthy representative for themselves.

“The group talk before the game was to forget about nothing there. Indeed, we realize that we planned to complete top of the association in any case, yet it was about how we approached that to bring us into the semi-finals on Friday.”

Thunder will take to their home court in the future at Belle Vue to confront Team Bath Netball in the first of the two Superleague semi-finals on Friday,

“You would rather not get beaten in the following match [the semi-final], that is the most terrible one isn’t it!? The semi-last is the hardest game to overcome and we know being tough is going.

“It will be no holding back this week, ideally we can finish a work and afterward return home with the prize.”

Loughborough Lightning will have the other semi-last at the Sir David Wallace Arena later on Friday night. Last year’s bosses will be taking on first-time semi-finalists London Pulse.
