State Minister of Finance Aisha Ghaus Pasha says that the government will have to take tough decisions on the IMF.
While talking to the media in Islamabad, Minister of State for Finance Aisha Ghaus Pasha said that the IMF program is indispensable for the recovery of the country’s economy. Aisha Ghaus Pasha said that the government wants to restore the IMF program soon. Many of the IMF’s reservations have been removed.
She said that the meeting regarding the IMF program will be held today. Tough decisions will have to be made to revive the IMF program. She mentioned that all the population regardless classes will bear the burden due to the ongoing circumstances.
The Minister of State for Finance said that the government wishes that the common man should not be overburdened. The government is trying to put more burden on the rich people. Aisha Ghaus Pasha said in other source that the government has not yet decided how much tax will be levied in the ordinance.
It should be noted that the government has prepared a mini-budget of more than one hundred and fifty billion rupees, for which an ordinance will be brought this month. The implementation of the mini budget will start from February 1, 2023.
