Cristiano Ronaldo performs Ardha dance to celebrate Founding Day of Saudi Arabia

Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese soccer star for Al-Nassr Club, joyfully danced the Ardha dance on Wednesday while dressed in traditional Saudi attire to commemorate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Foundation Day, which is observed on February 22.

In a video that he shared on Instagram, Ronaldo celebrates the Founding Day with excitement and pride, saying, “Happy Saudi Founding Day Everyone. That’s how we celebrate this special day at Al-Nassr FC.”

A single line of poetry is recited at the start of the dance while drums beat in the background and swords are raised as part of the national ceremonial.

The international celebrity was seen in the clip sipping Saudi coffee, dancing to hit songs, and reciting the Saudi Ardah. In the image, Ronaldo can be seen doing an Ardha while surrounded by his Saudi guests and holding a sword in the air. Drums were playing in the background as a single line of poetry was repeated to introduce the dance. He was spotted with the Saudi national flag draped over his shoulders and wearing the customary ankle-length shirt known as a thawb.

Al-Nassr Club, shared a video, through its official Instagram account, of the players, staff, and administrators celebrating the anniversary of the Foundation Day. : “Three centuries of grandeur and glory; This is how we celebrated the Founding Day in Al-Nassr Club,” it said.

Social media users have responded very well to these videos after Twitter users extensively shared them and they quickly became popular among Saudis.

From last year, Saudi Arabia has begun to observe the Foundation Day as a national holiday.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a legendary player from Portugal, joined Al-Nassr in January through a historic agreement.
