Although the plots of his most recent serials, Fitoor, Muqaddar, and Dil E Momin, were well known, his appearance and acting made the characters unique and unrecognizable from one another. His outstanding acting skills and performances are adored by millions of fans. His dramas Farq and Hook are adored by viewers on a wide scale.

Javed Akhtar and the Indian media are praising themselves for “dushman kay ghar mein ja kar usko marna” in response to his statements becoming viral that blamed Pakistan for failing to take decisive action against the terrorists behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Javed also stated that  “We [India] have organised concerts for persons like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Mehdi Hassan, but your country has not held a concert for Lata,” in reference to Pakistan’s lack of appreciation for Indian singers.
