Barbie Ferreira and Dacre Montgomery have signed on to be a part of a Faces of Death remake for Lionsgate, which will reunite stars from some of the most popular streaming television series in history. The project’s screenplay and directing responsibilities will go to Isa Mazzei and Daniel Goldhaber. The two previously collaborated on the movie CAM, which is about a camgirl (Madeline Brewer) who is obsessed with rising to the top of the rankings on the website she streams from. She quickly learns the risks associated with her line of work after dealing with some stalkers and a fake person who tries to take her identity.

As Kat in the first two seasons of the HBO popular television series Euphoria, Ferreira’s most famous part is also connected to the camgirl experience. The protagonist at East Highland High School struggled with insecurity until she found a hobby that helped her feel confident and extroverted. Kat felt content with what she was doing when she started streaming as a camgirl online. She was also at ease hiding behind the masks she wore and enjoying the attention she received from viewers. Ferreira’s performance at the show’s premiere was favorably praised by critics and fans, despite the fact that creative conflicts about her arc in the second season prohibited her from appearing during the subsequent third season.

On the other side, Montgomery can credit his success to his performance as Billy Hargrove in the Netflix series Stranger Things, which is a juggernaut. Billy, Max’s (Sadie Sink) older brother, was a violent adolescent with explosive rage fits. Billy spent his time as a lifeguard at the public pool, a job he adored because it allowed him to fling himself at Hawkins’ suburban mom when he wasn’t torturing her younger sister and her friends. The boy was killed by the Mind Flayer during the events of the third season, thus he would eventually come to see that the treatment he gave Max wasn’t fair, but it was too little, too late.
