ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has established 10 border check posts in Balochistan and South Waziristan to prevent human trafficking and illegal transportation in border areas.
A report on border check posts has also been sent to the Ministry of Interior, the FIA report said that the boundaries of all the check posts have been demarcated and the area has also been declared.
These check posts will stop human trafficking and illegal transportation at the border itself. These posts have been established in Qila Saifullah, Kech, Gwadar, South Waziristan, and one each in Miran Shah, Kurram, Chagai.
According to the FIA report, all these check posts have been established with the approval of the federal government.
Earlier, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested two suspects including a customs inspector involved in dollar smuggling while conducting operations at the Torkham border.
According to FIA officials, the arrested Inspector Wajid Toor was posted at the Torkham border and was assisting the accused in smuggling, while the other accused Asfandyar was involved in clearing dollars illegally with the connivance of customs officials.
